Join us for a deep dive into how the limbs connect to our deep centre and how we can support our yoga poses from this place. Combining somatics, embodied anatomy and asana, we will move through our bodies to track and build the connections in our body.
This will be the first of six Deepening Your Practice workshops, which we are excited to be running in collaboration with Maitri Studio, Belfast. Click here to find out about the whole series. The workshops quality as CPD hours for members of the Yoga Fellowship NI.
Nicole’s teaching encourages self-compassion and a playful spirit of enquiry, whether that is through strengthening vinyasa or more gentle restorative practices. While it will always be the bedrock of her own practice that shines through in her classes, she has become a Somatic Exercise Coach and completed additional anatomy and Buddhism study. As her knowledge has grown, not only through trainings but from countless hours on the mat, Nicole has found that it is the continual investigation and reconnecting to body and breath that is fascinating rather than any particular rules or sequence. In the last few years, in an effort to deal with lingering back pain, Nicole has embraced strength training including with Kathryn Bruni Young in 2022 and has been offering small group training at the studio since. Taking on the knowledge of how strength is built has become a new colour in her paint box of movement practices. Read more about Nicole on her Abhyasa Studio website.
