ROOTED IN STILLNESS
We are finishing the year and our 2026 series of Deepening Your Practice in collaboration with the Yoga Fellowship of Northern Ireland with yoga teacher and Maitri's manager Lucie Chenet Rea. For more about the complete series, read here.
Join us for a deep dive into Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra, two stillness practices working allowing us to connect deeply with ourselves. Lucie's approach to the practices is both respectful of traditions and trauma informed. You will learn about the Daoist roots of Yin Yoga and the history of Yoga Nidra and you will get to practice both in a quiet and compassionate environment.
BOOKING
Purchase a Deepening Practice Series pass via Maitri’s booking page - each workshop is £40 or £30 for Yoga Fellowship members (become a member of the Fellowship here). Remember to register onto Lucie's workshop via the calendar or once you've logged into the Maitri student portal on booking.
ABOUT LUCIE
Photo by Nicola Boyle for the Yoga Fellowship NI
Lucie's Yoga journey started when she found herself at the start of a long healing journey. What she thought was a way of healing her body, quickly turned into a journey into the self, helping her to find a new connection with her past, her mind and her emotions. When Yoga found her in 2017, she knew very quickly that she wanted to teach and help others the same way Yoga was helping her at the time (and still is!). It led her to travelling to India regularly across the years, learning, deepening her practice and teaching and becoming a full time teacher early 2025. Lucie teaches both movement practices (hatha & vinyasa) and stillness practices (yin yoga and yoga nidra) with the intention of bringing balance into people's lives and with the belief that there is always a suitable practice, whatever it is you are going through that day. She has been teaching at Maitri and in Belfast since 2019 and has spent over 700h training and thousands of hours of teaching and holding space. She is also Maitri's studio manager :)
