The Mystery of Lord Ganesha

Om Gam Ganapataye Namah! 

Hindus and yogis begin all undertakings with an invocation to Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity, because he is the ‘remover of obstacles’ or the ‘obstacle to obstacles.’ 

And so, that is how I will begin this little reflection, coming as it does just after the annual festival of ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ in honour of this charming deity.
